Boise Junk Removal Questions, Answered

Everything people ask before they call — pricing, logistics, what we take, and where it all ends up. If your question isn't here, the phone works too: (208) 845-3223.

Pricing

What does junk removal cost in Boise?

Boise haulers publish prices from roughly $60–$150 for a single item up to $400–$800 for a full truckload. The spread comes down to volume, weight, and access. We compiled the whole local market — published ranges, landfill math, and the free routes — on our junk removal cost page. Your exact number comes from a free in-person quote.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. Guaranteed free, no-obligation quotes — we come look at the job, hand you a number, and you decide. Nothing is owed for the visit.

Are there hidden fees?

No hidden fees. The price you approve at the walkthrough covers the crew, loading, hauling, disposal fees, and the donate-recycle sorting. It doesn't change after the work starts.

Should I tip the crew?

Never required or expected. Customers who want to typically tip 5–10% of the job or $10–$20 per crew member after a tough haul. The quote is the same either way.

Logistics

Do you offer same-day junk removal?

Yes — we offer same-day and next-day removal across Boise and the Treasure Valley. The earlier in the day you call, the better the odds for same-day. Call (208) 845-3223 and we'll tell you what today looks like.

Do I have to be home for junk removal?

Most people meet us for the free in-person estimate — it's how you get a firm number and how we get the lay of the job. If your situation is different, tell us when you call and we'll figure it out.

How will I know when you're arriving?

You get a courtesy call 15–20 minutes before the truck pulls up. No half-day service window, no sitting at home wondering.

Who actually shows up at my house?

A uniformed, background-checked crew from a family-owned company — not a subcontractor with a rented truck. We've been doing this in the Treasure Valley since 2016.

Items

What do you take?

Household junk from anywhere on the property — attic, crawlspace, garage, side yard — plus furniture, mattresses, appliances, yard debris, garage contents, concrete, and demolition debris. We also handle offices and commercial spaces. Whole properties or a single item: see residential junk removal for the full list.

What can't you take?

Hazardous materials — paint, motor oil, gasoline, asbestos, batteries, pesticides. Disposal regulations keep those out of a hauling truck. Ada County residents can take household hazardous waste to the drop-off at the Ada County Landfill on Seamans Gulch Road. If you're not sure which side of the line an item is on, ask when you call.

Will you pick up a single item?

Yes — single-item pickup is a normal job for us, not a nuisance. One couch, one fridge, one mattress. If it's just the one thing, say so on the call and we'll fold it into a nearby route.

Disposal

Do you donate or recycle what you haul?

Yes. Every load gets sorted — donate first, recycle next, landfill last — and the sorting is included in your price. Usable furniture and household goods get a second life instead of a spot at the landfill.

Is there free bulk pickup in Boise?

Yes. Boise's Curb It program includes six free large-item collections per calendar year for city trash customers — schedule by calling Republic Services at (208) 345-1266. Items go at the curb or in the alley, and pickups are scheduled on request, so plan on a wait. It's the right answer when you have one item and no hurry.

How do I get rid of a mattress in Boise?

Not in the trash cart — mattresses are oversized items, and leaving one at the curb without a scheduled pickup counts as illegal dumping. Your options: schedule a free Curb It large-item pickup through Republic Services, haul it to the Ada County Landfill yourself, or have us take it today. Full rundown: mattress removal in Boise.

What does the Ada County Landfill charge?

General trash is a $15 minimum for loads up to 1,035 pounds, then $33 per ton. Fridges, freezers, and other refrigerated units are $25 each for refrigerant handling. The landfill is at 10300 N. Seamans Gulch Road and only accepts waste generated in Ada County. Cover your load — it's required.
